Before this post, this blog was a place to update family and friends on our life mainly through pictures. But now thanks to iPhones, Facebook, and Instagram, I don't really need a place to put our life story. So instead I wanted to try my hand at writing some of the thoughts, opinions, ideas, failures, achievements, travel, and things I create through sewing or building.
Recently I have found it increasingly tempting to write all over Facebook my thoughts about topics, but find that the space limited and the amount of words people are willing to read. Also, I am of the opinion that Facebook (again, my opinion) should be for cute pictures of your family, kids and animals included.
More than likely this will turn into a place to vent my own frustrations and achievements with children, my marriage, and my faith journey. At this point I am not looking to have it be a place people come (and I doubt people will flock to my amazing advice, sarcasm totally intended) to read about me, maybe it will happen, but maybe it will be a place I can get out in words that sometimes just gets lost inside my head.
Please don't judge the writing. Please don't judge the content. Generally please don't judge. That's not anyone's place but the one who has created us.

Summer time and the living is easy?
Summer time and the living is easy...well, I think it should be summer time and the living is BUSY! Time flies when you are having fun I guess. Since Owen's first birthday a lot has happened that has sped our life into hyper-drive!
In April, Jacob and I found out we were expecting our second baby! We are very excited and will be meeting our little guy December 10th! Yup, you heard it right...another little boy! We are super excited to see what this new little guy will look like and to see if he is as active as his older brother!
Jacob had ACL surgery in early June and was out of commission for about 6 weeks which was difficult, but did come in handy with watching Owen a few days and getting some super fun son and daddy time!
July came quickly and with it came a wedding for our good friends Johnny and Sheena! We visited the fish hatchery with Jim, Maxwell, and my parents and the boys had a good time throwing rocks and seeing all the fish and ducks!
August started with a baby shower for our new niece Ruby and a wedding for our friends Cher and Matt out in Marcola! It was an awesome busy Saturday!
We also had visitors from Sacramento, twice in the last 2 weeks! Bill and Mike came to visit for a short time and Sandra and Helen came for Ruby's baby shower!
Erin and Reagan came with Owen and Carole to the Bounce Gymnastics and had a great time!
Owen is starting to talk a lot and it is fun watching him learn new words! He is so much fun to be around and becoming quite the character. He LOVES tractors, trucks, and lawn mowers! Owen is growing so fast
Carole is looking forward to even more baby showers in the next four months! It seems like everyone we know is having a baby!!
Here are some pictures from the last few months!

Months 10, 11, and 12
Good thing I am going to just be posting randomly from here on out because regular blogging is not my forte. These last few months have been so busy and so exciting for us and Owen. Owen is growing by the minute and really bringing joy to every day!
Some of the things Owen likes to do include dancing (and by dancing I mean stomping his feet and clapping), making raspberries on his hands, and laughing at anything and everything. Owen started walking at 10 months and now appears to be wanting to run already. He is climbing on anything he can and loves to be outside as much as possible. Owen loves to give kisses, to mom and dad, grandpa and grandma, and even Kitty and Samson!
His first birthday party was a great time and family and friends came from all over to celebrate the first year of this very special kid.
